Les Tamaris N°1 - Cottage sleeping 6, heated fenced pool.
Cottage N°1 at Les Tamaris is adjacent to the pool area and has its own attractive sunny terrace. It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and has a bathroom, a shower room and two toilets. The character interior features a full-height kitchen / dining room with French windows opening onto the terrace. It shares the heated fenced pool with Cottage N°2. |

Les Tamaris offers you an ideal family holiday venue - great value accommodation, well equipped and comfortable. It is situated in a rural village within easy reach of the Vendee coast. You can see where we are on this detailed map of the Vendee.
The local bar provides bread and croissants and it's only a short drive (or taxi) to a good selection of restaurants. The nearest supermarket is at just 5 minutes.
Cottage N°1 will sleep up to 6 in 3 bedrooms (one double and two twins) and has its own pleasant terrace with a built-in barbecue. The terrace area is enclosed so perfectly child friendly and we can of course supply a cot and high chair. There is lawn space adjacent to this cottage. The 11m x 5m heated pool is in a separate walled area with a safety entrance gate. Surrounded by attractive planting, it offers a lovely spot to relax. Note that there are wide entrance steps making it easy to enjoy for toddlers and young children.
You will find plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, including chateau and gardens to visit, local wine-tasting, colourful markets, as well as plenty of facilities to keep the children amused. Details of the distances to amenities are given below.

The accommodation comprises: Les Tamaris Cottage N°1
Independent cottage, part of a large renovated stone building (the two cottages are on opposite sides of the building and do not overlook each other). On one level (3 interior steps)
Interior: Open-plan living/dining with fitted kitchen. Double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Two twin bedrooms. Bathroom with toilet. Separate toilet. Well equipped, including; TV (English and French channels), DVD player, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, gas hob, eye-level electric oven, kettle, toaster, mixer, iron, ironing board, etc.
Exterior: Private terrace with garden dining furniture and built-in barbecue. Access to adjacent lawn area and use of the shared swimming pool. Off-road parking.
Bedding: Quilts and square pillows (with pillow cases) are supplied. You can hire bed linen and towels if you wish.

Beaches: - 18 miles takes you to La Faute sur Mer, superb sandy beaches, stretching along 12 miles of coastline with dunes & pine forests, including La Tranche sur Mer (watersports, windsurfing, jet-skis, sailing), round to the port of Jard sur Mer (Clemenceau museum, market, surfing, cliffs and secluded coves, tree-adventure theme park).
Places to visit: - Colourful local market at Lucon (3 miles) on Wednesday & Saturday mornings, plus street cafés, boutiques, municipal gardens. Old town and port of La Rochelle (37 miles) - fabulous aquarium. History theme park of Le Puy du Fou (45 miles) - medieval village, roman amphitheatre, great for children. Tree adventure park at Moutiers les Mauxfaits (14 miles). Gardens of Court d'Aron (11 miles) - thousands of exotic plants, lotus flower lakes. Chateau de la Guignardiere (20 miles) - children's treasure trail, picnic spots. Our self catering rentals are weekly, Saturday to Saturday, and we may be able to offer 10 night stays outside the main season dates.
