Les Tamaris N°2 - Cottage sleeping 8, heated fenced pool.
Cottage N°2 at Les Tamaris has its own attractive secluded courtyard. It sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, shower room, bathroom and two toilets, annex bedroom with en-suite. It has a character interior featuring a full-height kitchen / dining room with French windows opening onto the courtyard. It shares the heated fenced pool with Cottage N°1. |

Les Tamaris offers you great value family accommodation, well equipped and comfortable - an ideal holiday venue. It is situated within easy reach of the Vendee coast in a rural village. You can see where we are on this detailed map of the Vendee.
It 's only a short drive (or taxi) to a good selection of restaurants and the local bar (500m) provides bread and croissants. Just 5 minutes drive to the nearest supermarket.
Cottage N°2 sleeps up to 8 in 4 bedrooms - one double and two twins, plus a separate annex bedroom with en-suite, just across the courtyard. The courtyard and terrace area is enclosed so perfectly child friendly and we can of course supply a cot and high chair.

The 11m x 5m heated pool is in a separate walled garden area and has a safety entrance gate. Note that there are wide entrance steps making it easy to enjoy for toddlers and young children.
You will find plenty to see and do in the nearby area, including gardens and chateaux to visit, colourful markets, local wine-tasting, as well as plenty of activities to keep the children amused. Details of the distances to amenities are given below.

The accommodation comprises: Les Tamaris Cottage N°2
Independent cottage, part of a large renovated stone building (the two cottages are on opposite sides of the building and do not overlook each other). On one level (2 interior steps)
Interior: Open-plan living/dining room with fitted kitchen. Double bedroom. Twin bedroom. Chidren's twin bedroom. Shower room. Bathroom with toilet. Separate toilet. Annex twin bedroom with en-suite shower room & toilet. Well equipped, including; dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, TV (English and French channels), DVD player, gas hob, eye-level electric oven, kettle, toaster, mixer, iron, ironing board, etc.
Exterior: Private courtyard and dining terrace with garden dining furniture barbecue. Use of the shared swimming pool. Off-road parking.
Bedding: You can hire bed linen and towels if you wish. Quilts and square pillows (with pillow cases) are supplied.

Beaches: - 18 miles takes you to La Faute sur Mer, superb sandy beaches, stretching along 12 miles of coastline with dunes & pine forests, including La Tranche sur Mer (watersports, windsurfing, jet-skis, sailing), round to the port of Jard sur Mer (Clemenceau museum, market, surfing, cliffs and secluded coves, tree-adventure theme park).
Places to visit: - Colourful local market at Lucon (3 miles) on Wednesday & Saturday mornings, plus street cafés, boutiques, municipal gardens. Vineyards at Mareuil sur Lay, wine-tasting (5 miles). Tree adventure park at Moutiers les Mauxfaits (14 miles). Gardens of Court d'Aron (11 miles) - thousands of exotic plants, lotus flower lakes. Old town and port of La Rochelle (37 miles) - fabulous aquarium. History theme park of Le Puy du Fou (45 miles) - medieval village, roman amphitheatre, great for children. Our self catering rentals are weekly, Saturday to Saturday, and we may be able to offer 10 night stays outside the main season dates.
